PC Scale, the Windows estimating product that offers customers an entry-level version of McCormick Systems software, has been upgraded. Here's what's new in V9.0:
Scale users will find we've more than doubled the amount of active online jobs that are available.

Users expressed a need to write, view, and print longer descriptions of items, assemblies, and takeoff sheets. We've made all of PC Scale's windows resizable; we've changed report formats. What that means is you now have the room to view and print longer descriptions.
A job planning function has been added to PC Scale. You can now plan jobs by organizing tasks using the Schedule Manager feature. You can edit tasks, re-arrange them, delete them, or add them. For the first time, Scale users can now work on a project's overall planning.

A Time/Calculator has been added to PC Scale.
Printing in PC Scale has been enhanced (as users have requested). The Extension Report Format has been adjusted, changing the order in which items are printed. Printing will now follow columns -- top to bottom, left to right -- from sheet to sheet.
If you're reading this and have not yet become a contractor taking advantage of McCormick Systems' world of high-productivity, customizable estimating, PC Scale is a perfect point of entry. It's our lowest-cost product; it's perfect for a small electrical or ABS contractor, including datacom, security, and other low-voltage specialists.

From The President's Desk

To Our Customers & Friends:
It's the time of year when we all say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays." It's also time to reflect on how fortunate we all are.
Start with our country. We are, all of us, blessed to live in the United States.
Personally, it was my lot to be born into Jack McCormick's family, and from there to become involved in the electrical construction industry. It's important for our company to sell our products to contractors and estimators (of course). But it's also one heck of a lot of fun! I get to spend most of my days working with all of you. We at McCormick Systems benefit from your ideas and suggestions. We really enjoy working side-by-side with you to create a better future for all of us in this industry.
In many respects, we are – all of us – well off in so many ways. I'll spend some time this holiday season reflecting on how "God Bless America" is both a request . . . and something that is already a reality.
And I'll think about how lucky I am to work with great users and wonderful co-workers in an industry that matters. Thank you for your patronage, and please have a happy and healthy holiday season!
Todd McCormick
President, McCormick Systems

What We're Telling The Media
Sage Timberline & McCormick Systems
Make Beautiful Music Together
– For Electrical Contractors!
Electrical contractors now have an integrated combination of accounting and estimating software by using products from McCormick Systems and Sage Software.
McCormick’s electrical estimating software (Win 3000, Win 6000, Win 8000 and Win 12000 and additional products) and automated building systems products (ABS 3000, ABS 6000, ABS 8000 to ABS 12000 and more) are fully integrated with Sage Timberline Office.
What this means: Contractors who use the two software products won’t have to jump through hoops to get them to work together. The interface is seamless and natural (as if all the software came from one company).
Integrating data is simple to accomplish. Users can transfer critical information from McCormick’s software to Sage’s system.
“Construction companies today are in serious need of integrated IT systems,” said John Geffel, Sage Software senior vice president and general manager, Construction and Real Estate division.
“The interface between our products and those from McCormick enables electrical contractors to achieve this by purchasing software that provides integration right out of the box.”
Added Todd McCormick, president of McCormick Systems: “Our interface with Sage’s Timberline software makes life easier for contractors and their people. This fits with our company focus – which has, since our founding in 1979, been on helping contractors improve their productivity. That’s still the case.”
